RECIPES, MAPS & FOOD MEMOIRS FROM A LIFE WITH MANY DOORS
By Vidda Chan. Alchemical Hypnotherapist and Archetypal Consultant
release date: July, 2017
I'm an Odd Duck. Looking closer at my archetypes, those that most intimately influence how I perceive the world, I've always been on the outside looking in, feeling different, separate, apart, wondering how to be accepted, trying and then getting fed up trying.
Now with over half a century of life, I have enough personal experiences that have taught me that I rather enjoy and like being an Odd Duck. It's allowed me to be free, free to be myself, to be independent and dance to my own drum, free to create and own my own beliefs and values, free to eat mangoes while others eat apples.
Born in the Philippines of multi-cultural parents, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and am well traveled globally. Growing into myself, with the sense of not fitting in anywhere, I eventually came to realize I'm a true Child of the World. I am neither fully Filipino nor American nor Chinese nor European. I am me, wanting to share me with you and wanting to know you, as you truly are! And if you don't know you, wanting to be a part of your journey to explore who you are. I was once accused of having Odd friends, bringing home stray cats.... my response is if I judged each person because of their oddness, how can I expect anyone to love mine?
Speaking to the typical bio (for those who must): Archetypal Consultant, Spiritual Director, Teacher and Coach, Alchemical Hypnotherapist, Energy Practitioner. I have a Masters of Metaphysics and am in the perpetual status of a "thesis short of my doctorate" in Metaphysics. (can't decide if I'm really doing this for me or for society; and so my Rebel, Prostitute, and Saboteur go back and forth.) Most importantly, I'm a Human Being with all the wonderful foibles of being Human. I love it!
As a Hedonist, there is little in life that doesn't interest me. I love it all, especially anything that brings in the experience of personal and spiritual growth, freedom, adventure, travel, food, culture, community, ecology and permaculture, architecture, and books, books, and more books... and not necessarily in that order.
