Rest :: The “Wanna Help?” List While you are resting in bed, soaking up your newborn and imprinting his/her scent in your cellular memory, your friends and family want to help out. They really do! Practice self-love by allowing them to help (when you feel like “it’s time”) and remember this mantra to avoid feeling guilty: “People help because they CAN and because it brings them joy”.  One of the easiest ways I’ve found to facilitate this is to create a simple “Wanna Help?” list and post it on your fridge. When visitors arrive and ask “How can I help?” you can graciously let them know about the sign.  This helps eliminate the need to explain or come up with an idea as well as gives your loved ones something to reference. People LOVE to-do lists! And with this list they can choose the task that suits them best. xo - Leigh
